with the trade deadline approaching im going to give my analysis on

everything so far as well as make my picks for the rest of the year for

every division and the wild card and i will also give my player of the

year, surprise player of the year, and pitcher of the year for each

I'll

start with the NL east, going into today the NY mets have a 1 game lead

over the Phillies and a 2 game lead over the Marlins. not many people

last night's(and this mornings) all star game was great. everyone

is complaining about how long it was but i personally became more and

more attracted to it as it went deeper and deeper into extra innings. i

wanted

the game to keep going and going. i felt really bad when the American

league finally one on the walk off sack fly by Michael young because,

yes i did want the national league to win, but also i wanted the game

to keep going.

What Josh Hamilton did last night at the home run derby was incredible.

28 home runs in the first round! a new record breaking bobby abreu's

previous mark of 24 home runs in a single round. the next best person

only got 8 home runs in the first round. the only problem is he didn't

win.



 thats right Justin Morneau won the home run derby even

though he hit 13 home runs less in total. the only reason he won is

because the MLB has the perfect rules set up for the  ...</description>

Before this season began the Marlins finally got rid of the final parts

of their 2003 world series team by trading Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle

Willis to the tigers for Andrew Miller, Cameron Maybin, Mike Rabelo,

Burke Badenhop, Eulogio De La Cruz, and Dallas Trahern. This trade at

first made it seem like the marlins were just doing there thing and

selling away there best players while making there farm team a lot
