Is it me or the US Open? Empty

Growing up I was someone who always laughed at the idea of watching
golf and said that if it wasn't for tennis golf would be the most
boring sport to watch. I'm not sure if its the fact that its the US
open and Tiger is hurting or maybe I'm just starting to like watching
golf but for some reason i find myself watching the US open and
enjoying it.

Before I would complain when the open was on ESPN
because it made it so that there was nothing good on TV and then i
would be happy when the coverage would switch over to NBC because it
meant something else was coming on, but now im actually switching over
to NBC to watch it (but that might just be because its the college
world series on ESPN and who actually cares about college baseball?).

The thing is im not even trying to find something else to watch because
theres something about seeing tiger this close to the lead and seeing
tiger make those 2 amazing eagle and then that chip-in birdie or maybe
its the fact that relative unknown Rocco Mediate leading for most of
the day thats keeping me here. Now im actually even thinking about
watching some of this yesterday to see if the hobbled tiger can pull a
kirk gibson and win the open. I better be careful though because i
might find myself watching Wimbledon later this month, wouldn't that be
something?
