last night's(and this mornings) all star game was great. everyone
is complaining about how long it was but i personally became more and
more attracted to it as it went deeper and deeper into extra innings. i
wanted
the game to keep going and going. i felt really bad when the American
league finally one on the walk off sack fly by Michael young because,
yes i did want the national league to win, but also i wanted the game
to keep going.
however
there was one bad thing from the all-star game and that was Dan Ugglas
worst performance ever in his career. not only was he 0 for 4 with 3
strikeouts and a ground out into a double play with runners on first
and third in the 10th. but also he had an all star record 3 errors in
the game.
i really felt bad for him because not only is he one
of my favorite players but also this was one of is few actual chances
to be seen on national TV because he plays for the marlins and people
are more interested in the fact that David Ortiz took batting practice
then the marlins playing. so now people who only ever saw dan play last
night get this impression of him. and if any of you people are reading
this right now then please now that is not Dan Uggla.
Dan Uggla
is normally a power hitting decent fielding second baseman who has made
some incredible plays before at second base. he is normally a guy who
comes through in the clutch and is a key piece to what the marlins are
doing this season(which is playing very good baseball for all of you
people who thought the marlins didn't exist anymore because ESPN is too
busy with the "nation" and other large-market teams). however i know
dan will put this behin him and the rest of the nation will see what
dan Uggla is really about later this year when the marlins make the
postseason and Dan gets his second chance.
